Senior Pastor
Pastor Steve Goode serves as the Senior Pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, he served for eleven years as a sworn officer with the Greensboro Police Department. His background in law enforcement, biblical counseling, and ministry has given him a unique heart for people who are hurting, struggling, or searching for hope. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biblical counseling and is the author of Marriage Triage: A Guide to Healing for the Hurting Spouse.
Pastor Steve is passionate about preaching God’s Word, making disciples, strengthening families, and helping the church serve its community with compassion. His ministry reflects a deep commitment to biblical truth, practical Christian living, and reaching people from every background with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to his work at Northside, he continues to support the law-enforcement community through chaplaincy and public ministry. His desire is for Northside Baptist Church to be a welcoming place where people can know Christ, grow in faith, and find a church family that genuinely cares.
