Kalvin Smith
Youth & Worship Ministry Director
Kalvin Smith serves as the Youth Director and Worship Leader at Northside Baptist Church. Since joining the Northside ministry team in January 2026, Kalvin has brought youthful energy, a servant’s heart, and a sincere desire to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. He leads Northside’s youth through Bible-centered teaching, guided prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and special activities designed to build strong relationships and encourage students to become active participants in the life of the church.
Kalvin is continuing his education and ministry preparation through Judson College at Southeastern and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. In addition to teaching Northside’s students, he has helped strengthen relationships with other local youth ministries, developed Bible studies and devotional materials for youth trips, and encouraged meaningful cooperation between Northside and Lankford Memorial Baptist Church. As a worship leader, Kalvin helps lead the congregation in a blended worship style that honors the church’s heritage while engaging a new generation. His desire is to use his gifts in teaching, music, worship, and discipleship to point young people and the entire church family toward Christ.
